Nature & Nurture Retreat
This past week, we embarked on a journey of restoration and community at our Nature & Nurture Retreat, made possible by our generous sponsor, ON, with amazing goodies from Levain, Ghetto Gastro, Inside Then Out, and Topicals. Over three unforgettable days, we found balance in movement, reflection, and the beauty of the outdoors, leaving us all feeling deeply connected and refreshed.
Our adventure began as we all piled into the van and made our way to AutoCamp Catskills, where everyone settled into their cozy accommodations. That evening, we gathered for dinner, set our intentions for the weekend, and broke the ice with games, storytelling, and fireside s’mores. The energy was instant—strangers became friends, and laughter filled the air, setting the perfect tone for the days ahead.
The next morning, we greeted the day with a grounding yoga session led by Brianna Smith, followed by a dynamic movement exploration with NARC. Fully energized, we set out for Overlook Mountain, where we spent four hours immersed in nature, pushing our limits, and soaking in breathtaking views. After returning to camp for some well-deserved relaxation, we shared dinner before coming together for a creative expression writing workshop led by Teya Knapp. Through storytelling and self-reflection, we deepened our bonds and honored our personal journeys.
On our final day, we visited the Catskill Animal Sanctuary for some much-needed animal therapy, sharing moments of joy and connection with the rescued animals. Afterward, we made our way to the Phoenicia Diner for a delicious brunch before heading home to reset. That evening, we came together one last time for a family dinner at Goodnight Woodstock—an experience that felt nothing short of magical. As the night wound down, we gathered for fireside chats, games, and music, savoring the last moments of a weekend that had already left a lasting impact.
Nature & Nurture was more than just a retreat—it was a reminder of the power of community, movement, and mindfulness. We left with full hearts, new friendships, and a renewed sense of self. Until next time!
