About
Asafespacementor
Asafespacementor was dreamt up during the 2020 pandemic & Black Lives Matter Movement. Our founder Teya saw the need to create mental health equity for BIPOC communities to heal not only during this time but over the course of her life experiences. This moment in time just helped Teya gain an extra push to step into her purpose of serving her community. Asafespacementor began holding free wellness retreats September 2021. Since then Asafespace has expanded its reach and impact. From over 21 wellness retreats, several community events held every month, hiking groups and free therapy. Asafespacementor in 2024 opened their first wellness studio Asafespacestudio that will be a community hub for wellbeing. Asafespace is on a mission to reduce inequalities and foster sustainable communities. We provide accessibility to wellbeing that is for the BIPOC community and is black and brown led. We stand for community, mental health, creativity, and a reconnection with nature to build a more sustainable future.
