Our journey to Montana kicked off with a seven-hour flight from New York City, and from the moment we touched down, the magic began. After picking up our rental car and stocking up on groceries for our family meals, we made our way to a stunning modern cabin nestled among the trees, blanketed in a serene layer of snow. Once settled in, we prepared a cozy family dinner and spent the evening bonding by the fireplace, sharing our thoughts during a meditation where we released our intentions into the flickering flames.
The following morning, we energized our spirits with a guided fitness class from Fearless Growth, followed by a delicious breakfast quiche that fueled us for the day ahead. We then embarked on an adventure to Come Alive Healing Adventures in Northwest Montana, where we participated in a transformative horse-assisted healing session combined with guided yoga. Connecting with nature and these magnificent horses was a profound experience, led by the wonderful Katie Rose, who crafted an unforgettable journey for us. That evening, we gathered for another hearty family dinner, exchanging stories and reflections before concluding our day with a soothing meditation.
As the next day dawned, a beautiful snowstorm greeted us, snowing us in and prompting a spontaneous body appreciation mirror activity that filled the room with empowerment and self-love. Inspired by our reflections, we ventured outside for a whimsical group photoshoot in the fresh snow, capturing the essence of our adventure together. After preparing a hearty family dinner, we cozied up for a movie night, reveling in the warmth of our newfound friendships.
Our final day in Montana was bittersweet; our bonds had deepened in such a short time, and we were all reluctant to say goodbye. Following our morning routine, we set off for Glacier National Park, embarking on a breathtaking hike through a snow-covered wonderland. We paused for a group meditation by Lake McDonald, where the stunningly clear blue waters revealed a bed of rainbow-hued rocks beneath, framed by majestic snow-capped mountains. Our hike ended with a playful snowball fight, laughter echoing through the trees.
As we returned to our cabin for one last family dinner, we cherished every moment, soaking in the connections we had forged and the memories we had created. Our retreat in Montana was truly life-changing, leaving us with hearts full of gratitude and a longing to return.
