A Time to be Still Retreat pt.2

Our second silent retreat has to be one of our favorite retreats to date. We partnered up with Spruceton Inn again to host 10 attendees for a 3-day retreat. It was magical the moment we set foot on the property. Spruceton Inn has been such a special sanctuary for our organization and the guests that we bring there. From their cozy rooms to the lush landscape and property, it has been the perfect space to come and be still.

The first night we gathered in our meeting place, which was the cutest renovated barn/library on the property. We set our intentions, meditated, and got to know one another over group discussion and prompts. After that, we gathered for a family dinner, filled our bellies, and then turned in for the night.

The next day, we woke up ready to embrace the silence. Gathering at our regular spot for a sound bath and meditation before entering our silence, we then quietly gathered for a family breakfast before having our own alone relaxation time on the property. Midday, we all hopped in the cars and drove to Colegate Lake where we rested, snacked, strolled, and even enjoyed a sound bath. Returning home, we rested some more and enjoyed a silent family dinner together before roasting our s'mores over a fire.

The following morning, we met at the barn to meditate and break our silence. We shared and reflected on how our day of silence nourished our hearts and minds. Afterward, we went out for breakfast as a group at Scribners and then headed to Crespell Farm, the most beautiful woman-owned local farm. At Crespell, we were treated by the owner to a flower arrangement workshop. Anne, the owner, was so inspiring and kind. We had the best time with her.

After the farm, we headed back home to rest and all hung out as a family over a meal, games, and lots of laughter.

Our silent retreat at Spruceton Inn was more than just a retreat; it was an experience of finding stillness, connection, and inspiration. We left feeling rejuvenated, connected, and deeply grateful for the time spent together in such a beautiful and nurturing environment.

Join us for our next retreat as we continue to explore the power of silence, nature, and community in finding inner peace and connection.
