Spruceton INN Retreat

Our Sanctuary at Spruceton was simply that a sanctuary of peace. We arrived at this hotel  Spruceton Inn on the most magical piece of land that was so picturesque and not to mention off the grid. All we had was our wifi so it was really an amazing chance to disconnect from the world and enjoy the experience. There was a barn steps away filled with books and natural light, there were picnic tables placed around the property, fire pits, & the cutest hammocks!

We started our day there by having a family barbecue, then we enjoyed some s’mores by the fire because it wouldn’t be A Safe Space Retreat without S’mores to be honest. After that we headed to one of our rooms and did a group meditation & discussion. We shared & connected and decided we wanted to release some intentions to the fire we had started earlier. We said our goodnights and prepared for a long day ahead of us.

The next day we woke up bright and early for some avacado toast, granola, & fruit. Then we were on our way to the hike. We arrived to Hunter Mountain & started our climb to the top of the mountain which not to mention is one of the second highest peaks in the catskill mountains. So, shout out to us because we made it & on top of that climbed to the top of a fire tower at the top of the mountain!  The reward was most definitely the view which was irreplaceable. After our hike we stopped for some much needed burgers to refuel and headed to collegiate lake for a nice refreshing dip to cool us off after all that work. We headed home sat and shared by the fire and got ready to pack up to leave for the next morning.
